Since 2009 we have been aiming to make a difference through supporting a wide range of community and conservation projects in South Africa, Namibia and Botswana.
If you are willing to lend your time and skills to a volunteer project of your choice, we will use all our expertise and passion to make this an experience of a lifetime for you. During your time at the volunteer project, we will work hard to ensure that you benefit as a person as much as the project will benefit through your efforts.
South Africa is open!
Borders to South Africa are open for international travellers. When entering South Africa, you need to present a negative Covid-19 test result that is not older than 72 hours. Read more: "Travelling during COVID-19".
Namibia is welcoming you!
Borders to Namibia are open for international travellers. For detailed information read here: "Travelling during COVID-19".
Full flexibility
In order to give you the flexibility that you need, we are currently allowing all bookings to be cancelled or amended free of charge prior to arrival if travel regulations change or your flight is cancelled due to the pandemic.
None of the projects we work with could function without the dedication and hard work of volunteers from all over the world.
You will assist your project not only with your dedication, time and skills, but your financial contributions will also enable them to make their visions come true. A child’s smile or a healthy animal released back into the wild are the rewards for your hard work. You also have the opportunity to experience the country in a way that no tourist ever will, make friends and broaden your horizons.
You can choose from almost 40 volunteer projects. It is important that you choose a project you find worth your passion and efforts. Our website offers a lot of information including photographs and videos about each volunteer project to give you an idea of what the organisation does and the day to day experience of volunteering there.
For projects you are interested in, you can also request our detailed project descriptions, which are multi-page documents that give you all the information you need to make an informed decision.
Our projects provide help where it is needed the most. Governmental institutions are often overwhelmed by the number of issues. HIV and social inequality as a result of apartheid are just two issues our social volunteering projects tackle. Poaching, species extinction and canned hunting are some issues of many that our conservation volunteering projects are dealing with. NGOs cannot solve these problems, but they play an important part in minimising their negative effects .
"When I was a young girl I wrote a letter to Santa Claus:
'When I get tired just remind me who I am and who I am
supposed to be'. The whole experience was beautifully
exhausting, but thanks for all the memories. I can strongly
recommend it! Thank you for everything!"

"You’ll start to see the world with a new set of eyes.
If you’re prepared to challenge yourself emotionally
and morally, eager to make a difference and ready
to make life long memories;
then this project is for you!"
Emma from the UK
Jeffrey's Bay Kindergarten
"It was the most incredible experience of my life. Being
able to help others by doing what we love is amazing.
We were close to all the animals, I met a lot of incredible
persons from all over the world, we were just a big family.
The managers were so nice. It's an experience that I would
do it again without hesitation."
